Yonex Profit Grows Double Digits, Ups Guidance


The Japanese racquet sports and golf company posted a 32% improvement in net income to ¥5,590 million ($35.1 mm) from ¥4,237 million in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, on sales that grew 14% to ¥45,468 million ($285.3 mm) from ¥39,856 million. Revenue in North America ticked up 1% to ¥2,215 million ($13.9 mm) on strong demand for tennis and badminton, coupled with positive ForEx effects.
