Net income bounced back to ¥2,819 million ($17.7 mm) for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 from ¥288 million, lapping last year’s 90% drop, on a 6% revenue gain to ¥68,242 million ($428.1 mm) over ¥64,308 million. By category, general sporting goods and shoes led with 11% growth to ¥27,677 million, followed by golf at +6% to ¥21,851 million.
