VFC generally reports a net loss in its seasonally small fiscal first quarter, but the red ink improved 17% from a year ago to $97,152,000 against a loss of $116,408,000 as revenue ticked down 5% to $1,669,379,000 from $1,760,666,000 and up 1% backing out Dickies last year. Direct-to-consumer led results, growing 2% to $738.4 million while wholesale slipped 10% to $931.0 million. By region, Americas was down 4% (-5% CC) to $895.5 million, EMEA decreased 7% (-9% CC) to $511.1 million, and APAC declined 3% (-6% CC) to $262.7 million.
