Trade Talks Moving Forward with EU, Vietnam


Rumors were reported in German business outlet Handelsblatt that EU negotiators were looking to accept 10% across-the-board tariffs to avoid higher rates on targeted sectors such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, and electronics, but the European Commission largely denied the story. The article cited comments by high-ranking EU negotiators that their side was ready to cut levies on U.S.-made vehicles and ease other regulations to clear hurdles for American automakers to sell there.
