Profit attributable to shareholders improved by 17% to RMB 1,337.2 million ($190.6 mm) in the fiscal first half ended Aug. 31, from RMB 1,145.4 million last year, as revenues rebounded by 7% to RMB 14,176.5 million ($2,020.9 mm) from RMB 13,218.0 million. Topsports is working to recover from last year’s Zero-Covid lockdowns combined with the backlash against western brands over Xinjiang sourcing. While still down from two years ago, the reopening of consumption occasions and gradually ramping up marketing activations from brands have stimulated demand, the company said.
