Tariff Negotiations with China Begin in London
U.S. and Chinese officials sat down Monday in a London parley to hash out mutual accusations of tampering with last month’s trade war truce terms in bids to gain leverage in the tariff negotiations. Along with ongoing concerns on the U.S. side over China’s curbing of rare earth mineral exports, Chinese officials have raised red flags over U.S. exports of ethane for plastic production, withholding computer chip design software from Chinese companies and student visa cancellations.
