Tariff and Demand Headwinds Hit Helen of Troy


Sales at HELE’s Home & Outdoor segment, home of Hydro Flask and Osprey Packs, were down 14% to $208,721,000 from $241,944,000 for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 31, with operating results swinging to a loss of $72,578,000 against income of $31,152,000. Overall, the bottom line at HELE swung to a $308,643,000 loss, compared to last year’s $17,014,000 profit, on sales that were down 9% to $431,781,000 from $474,221,000, in line with the high end of guidance.
