Super Retail Group’s Sports Banners Have Solid Half
Rebel Sport posted sales of A$740.4 million ($477.7 mm) for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 27, up 5% from A$706.5 million, as demand patterns varied throughout the period and promotional activity ramped up in the second quarter. Comps were up 4%, primarily driven by more transactions. Performance sports saw strength in footwear and licensed apparel, while sporting equipment, hydration, and recovery also sold well.
