Accelerating from 2024’s 2.0% improvement, total hardgoods sales increased 3.1% last year to $112,240 million from $108,842 million, led by the largest companies, with eight of the top 10 posting sales growth. Overall, winners outnumbered losers 27 to 15 in 2025, flipping from the prior year when just 17 companies grew sales against 25 that declined. The largest companies, with total revenues in the ten-figure club, grew their market share 200 basis points to 34.6% last year, up from 32.6% in 2024.
