The Japanese company reported net income of ¥19,862 million ($257.1 mm) versus ¥19,121 million for the 12 months ended Dec. 31. Annual turnover was 4% higher at ¥221,770 million ($2.87 bb) against ¥213,596 million. By segment, bicycle components had a 3% decline in annual segment income to ¥29,996 million ($387.9 mm) despite nearly 5% top line growth to ¥177,307 million ($2.3 bb). The fishing tackle unit posted 9% growth in annual income to ¥2,139 million ($27.7 mm) on a 1% gain in sales to ¥43,884 million ($568.1 mm).
