The 50 highest-paid executives at public sporting goods retailers saw a 25% increase in total compensation last year, for those with comparable earnings in both 2024 and 2025, with the overall average climbing to $4,011,839 from $3,719,662 in 2024. The results are somewhat skewed, as last year’s study included 56 executives, whose total compensation declined 8%. Foot Locker and Big 5 were dropped from this year’s list as both were acquired.
