The founder of Lansing (IL) Sport Shop and buying group Team Athletic Goods, who was a past president of the National Sporting Goods Association, died Dec. 31. he had suffered a heart attack on Dec. 29 at his home in FL. He was 86. The World War II U.S. Navy veteran is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of 65 years, 10 children, 34 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and three siblings.
