Nike Makes Progress despite Tariffs, China Weakness
Net income tumbled 32% to $792 million from $1,163 million in the fiscal second quarter ended Nov. 30 as revenues inched up 1% to $12,427 million from $12,354 million, nearly mirroring the top- and bottom-line deltas from the first quarter. Excluding the impact of the weak dollar, constant currency revenues were flat. Wholesale grew by 8% to $7.5 billion, while Nike Direct sales declined 9% to $4.6 billion, with stores off 3% and digital down 14%, in line with efforts to elevate the e-commerce business into a premium offering.
