Under the specter supply chain challenges, marketing was top of mind for small businesses in the outdoor space during 2024, according to the 2025 Outdoor Small Business Benchmarking Study from REI Co-op Path Ahead Ventures and Founded Outdoors, shedding light on industry players with under $10 million in annual revenue. Among the 82 respondents, marketing was at the top of the concerns list for 27, followed by 20 naming financing, seven each for wholesale and production, six for team, and four for operations.
