KMD Brands’ E-commerce a Bright Spot, as Weather Hits Q3
The Rip Curl, Kathmandu, and Oboz parent reported year-over-year sales down 1.9% for the fiscal third quarter ended May 25, also declining sequentially from the +0.5% result in H1. Rip Curl improved 0.9%, offset by a Kathmandu drop of 6.4% and Oboz ticking down 1.1%. Rip Curl’s direct-to-consumer channel outperformed in the quarter, with North American flagship store comps getting a call out. While wholesale sales continue to improve sequentially from the first half, they still trail the prior year.
