Johnson Outdoors’ Profits Boosted by Lower SG&A
Net income grew by 7% in the fiscal second quarter ended Mar. 28 to $2,304,000 from $2,156,000 on a 4% drop in revenues to $168,349,000 from $175,856,000. Fishing sales fell 3% to $134.9 million on lower consumer demand due to macroeconomic pressures. The camping & watercraft recreation segment declined 12% to $17.9 million, with declines in watercraft and the Eureka! exit more than offsetting Jetboil gains.
