Jarden Outdoor Results Up in Q4 but Sees Fallout in 2012


Jarden’s Outdoor Solutions group reported operating income of $38.1 million for the final quarter ended Dec. 31, up 75% from the $22.4 million of last year on a revenue hike of 2% to $614.5 million compared to $604.0 million; however, JAH indicated that it expects a $30-50 million reduction in winter sports equipment orders next year as a result of the unseasonable winter, translating into a 5-10% reduction for the roughly $500 million segment.
