Industry Opposes Federal Land Sales Mandate
The Outdoor Industry Association has weighed in on the latest moves in the ongoing battle over federal land holdings in Western states, penning a letter to Congress this month on its opposition to the mandated federal land sales included in the House Natural Resource Committee's budget reconciliation package. The provisions, added by Rep. Mark Amodei (R-NV) and Celeste Maloy (R-UT), would mandate the sale of public lands in Utah and Nevada, in the process bypassing current public land management processes.
