IEPPA Tariff Refunds May Take More Time, CBP Says
Customs and Border Protection is rolling out details on the CAPE (Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries) system for IEPPA tariff refunds, setting a start date of April 20 for Phase 1, though the refund process will now take 60 to 90 days, up from the prior 45. Phase 1 eligibility is still set for unliquidated entries and entries within 80 days of liquidation.
