Holiday Sales Growth Pegged at Around 4% in Early Surveys
Holiday 2025 is on track for a mid-singles sales gain with growth across channels according to Visa and Mastercard’s figures for the seven weeks from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31. Mastercard SpendingPulse found U.S. retail sales excluding auto was up 3.9% for the period across channels and payment types, with e-commerce gaining 7.4% and in-store going +2.9% on trends of early shopping and leveraging promotions both online and in-store.
