HBI expects its outerwear segment to lose money this year because of “hypercompetitive pricing” and reduce its annual EPS by $0.30 ($29.8 mm) to a range of $2.50-2.60 with most of the segment’s challenges to occur in H1. In Q4, Outerwear operating profit slid 35% to $16,638,000 from $25,530,000 for the period ended Dec. 31. Segment revenues were essentially flat at $364.9 million. For the full year, Outerwear operating income soared 54% to $133.7 million on 16% topline growth to $1,459,790,000.
