GoPro Narrows Loss, Sees Return to Growth Coming Soon


The action camera maker finished Q2 $16,422,000 in the red, down from a $47,821,000 loss a year ago, on 18% lower revenues of $152,643,000 against $186,224,000. Subscription and service revenue was flat at $26 million, and subscriber count ended Q2 at 2.45 million, down 3% year-over-year. Retail channel revenue declined 19% to $111 million. Gross margin improved significantly to 35.8%, a 540 basis point increase, primarily due to reduced price discounting.
