Genesco Picks Up ISS Endorsement in Proxy Battle
The Journeys’ parent is facing a proxy challenge from activist investor Radoff-Jumana Group, which is seeking to oust directors Joanna Barsh and Thurgood Marshall Jr. and secure seats for their candidates, former Stabilis Solutions CEO Westervelt T. Ballard Jr. and investment banker Paula J. Poskon. Radoff-Jumana, which holds 9.1% of outstanding GCO shares, issued a pointed missive last week noting this is the company’s third proxy contest in eight years, charging CEO Mimi Vaughn with the decline in total shareholder returns since she took the big chair in 2020.
