D’Wayne Edwards, a longtime Nike shoe designer who has been teaching footwear design for more than two years, is opening his own footwear design school in Portland, OR. The 4,600-sq.-ft. center, called the Pensole Footwear Design Academy, is slated to open on Feb. 4, according to OregonLive.com. The first course at the facility, 11 weeks focused on introductory design, will be open to Oregon college and high school students.
