Joseph Queri, Jr., the VP of real estate for Dick’s Sporting Goods from 1999 to 2005 who plead guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, wire fraud and money laundering in Feb. 2011, was sentenced to 41 months in prison yesterday in Utica, NY. Additionally, a federal judge ordered Queri to pay $325,000 in restitution and forfeit $1.4 million in assets. Queri, Jr., 53, admitted to taking “consulting fees,” ranging from $10,000 to $150,000, from developers and landlords looking to secure Dick’s stores for their respective sites. He had faced a maximum of 11 years in prison.
