FDRA Coordinates Sneaker Brands’ Plea for Tariff Relief
Against the backdrop of what appears to be softening on both sides of the U.S.-China standoff, the Footwear Distributors & Retailers of America wrote the White House last week seeking to get footwear placed on a potential list of exemptions from reciprocal tariffs. The letter, co-signed by about 75 footwear companies, cited comments from President Trump in recent weeks considering exemptions for companies that would be hit hard due to the nature of their industry and through no fault of their own.
