Athleta Freefall Continues into Q1


Sales at the Gap, Inc.-owned women’s active brand fell 12% in the first quarter to $270 million from $308 million, lapping a 6% drop in Q1 ‘25 and following an 11% decline in the prior quarter. Comparable store sales declined 11% on top of a -8% comp a year ago in a fleet that remained unchanged at 252 stores. Canada sales slipped to $7 million from $8 million, and other regions were flat at $1 million.
