CWH is making a big investment in technology and distribution which it says will vault it to the top of the outdoor category online through a combination of destination retail sites, product category specific microsites, and Amazon.
Net income improved 57% to $34,377,000 from $21,959,000 for the three months ended Jun. 30 on a 5% gain in sales to $328,004,000 from $313,221,000.
Net income jumped 44% to $23,770,000 from $16,553,000 on a 10% rise in sales to $170,779,000 from $155,274,000 with continuing strength in the Minn Kota motors and Humminbird electronics driving results.
Sales at Sumitomo Rubber’s sports division increased 16% in the first half to ¥43,796 million ($401.4 mm) from ¥37,894 million driven by surging golf equipment sales, boosting operating income 67% to ¥4,164 million ($38.2mm) from ¥2,494 million.
