Strong Q2 at Vail for Retail


Driven by a solid increase in skier visits, especially to its Western resorts, Vail Resorts said retail revenue for the three months ended Jan. 31 was up 20% to $123,233,000 compared to $102,975,000. Cost of sales for the retail segment showed a gain in gross margin, up 18% to $44,984,000 against $38,262,000, up 76 b.p. to 36.50%.
