Gildan will re-open one of its Honduran factories to produce non-medical face masks and isolation gowns, in partnership with a consortium of major apparel and textile companies. The fabric and designs have been provided by another company in the group. GIL said it is also in discussions with other industry companies about distributing personal protective equipment.
Adidas closed its Spartanburg, SC, distribution center for deep cleaning after an employee there tested positive for coronavirus. Others who had come into contact with the worker were sent home to self quarantine for two weeks.
