The Katy, TX, chain has named the former COO of Meijer, Inc. to succeed Rodney Faldyn, who announced his plan to step down earlier this year. The move is effective Nov. 2. Symancyk, 43, had held the title of president at Meijer since Feb. 2013 and was COO since Jan. 2012. He was EVP of merchandising and marketing there since Dec. 2008. Prior to that, he had been at Sam’s Club.
