Vans Sues MSCHF Product Studio over Wavy Baby
Vans and parent VF Corp. are accusing MSCHF Product Studio of copying the trade dress of its classic Old Skool style with the $220 Wavy Baby sneaker. The suit, filed in E. NY federal court, says that the defendant “blatantly and unmistakably copied Vans’ trademarks” for the shoe upper and outsole, its packaging and even a Wavy logo that resembles Vans’ stylized word mark.
