Under Armour Faces Backlash After Pro-Trump Comments


The latest casualty of the nation’s political mood is Under Armour, which ignited a Twitter storm of calls for a boycott after CEO Kevin Plank praised the business policies of President Trump in an interview on CNBC. A statement released by the company did not mention Trump by name but said Under Dog “engages in policy, not politics” and that it favored fair trade and inclusive immigration policy. It also said it favored “tax reform that drives hiring to create new jobs globally, across America and in Baltimore.”
