Trump Floats the Idea of Rejoining the Trans-Pacific Partnership
The President told a gathering of state lawmakers and governors from farm states that he was directing his advisors to look into rejoining the Trans-Pacific Partnership of 11 nations that originally included the United States. That is a sharp reversal from his position during the 2016 election which based much of its message on the damage that trade deals have done to the U.S. economy.
