Strong Back-to-School Spending Expected by NRF


Growing consumer confidence and continued growth in the student population will fuel a 10% increase in Back-to-School spending to $83.6 billion compared to $75.8 billion last year, according to a poll conducted by the National Retail Federation by Prosper Insights and Analytics. Families with children in elementary through high school plan to spend an average of $687.72 per family, an increase of 8% over last year that will total $29.5 billion.
