The LA chain, recently emerged from bankruptcy, has reinstated its claim against former Sports Land owner John Park, arguing that Park misrepresented the sales volume and inventory value of his Midwest The Athlete’s Foot franchises when he sold them to Sheikh in a 2014. Sheikh is asking the court to disallow Sports Land’s $458,075 claim as an unsecured creditor in the bankruptcy and also to award damages of $6,252,529 from the alleged misrepresentations.
