SFIA Urges Members to Take Action on New Tariffs
The latest round of 10% tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese imports that has initially targeted some sectors of the sporting goods industry has a Jul. 27 deadline for companies to request exclusions with written comments due Aug. 17 and hearings set for Aug. 20-23. As noted earlier, the latest round was a response to China’s retaliation of $50 billion in tariffs over 25% tariffs on a total of $50 billion in Chinese goods related to intellectual property protections for U.S. companies.
