Recall: Handlebar Stems, Women’s Bicycles


Shimano is recalling approximately 300 mountain bicycle handlebar stems in North America that were made by Taiwan-based Post Moderne Corp. due to faulty bolts on the front plate of the stems. The recall involves the PRO Atherton direct mount bicycle handlebar stems (model no. PRSS0049) that were sold by REI and bicycle specialty shops from Oct. 2009 to Nov. 2010.
