Randa Plans Direct Appeal to Shareholders for Perry Ellis
The accessories maker that bid $28.00 per share, topping the $27.50 per share offer of founder George Feldenkreiss to take PERY private, said it was confident that shareholders would find its bid more attractive and said the special committee of the board that considered the two bids failed to engage with Randa in its efforts to conclude a deal with the Feldenkreiss family. The committee cited concerns about Randa’s financing and what it said were conditions on the deal to justify rejecting the Randa bid.
