Puma Continues Hoops Push with WNBA Deal
Honoring its tradition of stalking marketing assets that Nike and Adidas overlook, the Big Cat has signed a league sponsorship deal with the WNBA that will enable it to use the league’s trademarks and show players in uniform in its marketing; however, the boundaries of the deal do not extend to the NBA, where Nike remains the official uniform supplier and Adidas and Under Armour also have sponsorship rights that allow them to use NBA players in uniform in their marketing. Puma also signed Dallas Wings’ Skylar Diggins-Smith to an endorsement deal, who wore Puma in last weekend’s All-Star Game.
