Nike Beats Estimates on Double Digit Sales Growth
Net income improved 15% to $1,092 million from $950 million for the first quarter ended Aug. 31 as sales rose 10% to $9,948 million from $9,070 million that included a 6% improvement in North America as well as a double-digit gain in EMEA and a continued surge in China. The Eager Beavertons said revenue was driven by double-digit growth in Nike Direct and broad strength in most categories, led by Sportswear.
