NFL Drops Concussion Settlement Appeal


The league withdrew its challenge of some diagnoses of dementia in former players, which it had argued were not adhering to consistent medical standards despite those diagnoses being made by approved doctors and upheld by the court-appointed administrator. However, the U.S. District Court judge presiding over the case did order doctors to provide a more complete explanation of their findings when making a diagnosis going forward.
