Billed as a way to focus its efforts on its core consumer products businesses, Newell said it would explore strategic options for its Waddington, Process Solutions, Rubbermaid Commercial products and Mapa as well as for some of its smaller consumer products brands which, besides Rawlings, also included Goody, Rubbermaid, Closet, Refuse and Garage and U.S. Playing Cards. It hardly seems surprising that Rawlings made this list, as the team market has been hammered by recent bankruptcies harder than any other sector.
