KKR Makes Offer for Accell Group Shares


Kohlberg Kravis Roberts is offering €58.00 in cash per share, or total consideration of about €1.56 billion ($1.77 bb), for the Dutch owner of the Raleigh, Ghost, Haibike and several other bicycle and e-bike brands. Accell’s largest shareholders, Teslin (12%) and Hoogh Blarick (7.5%), support the transaction, which will launch in Q2 after gaining regulatory approvals, and close sometime in Q3. The price represents a premium of 26% over Accell’s most recent closing price and is 42% above its three-month volume-weighted average price.
