Indonesia Sees Benefits in Trump Trade Policies


Aprisindo believes that President Trump’s get tough on China policies and its exit from the Trans-Pacific Partnership will help Indonesian sneaker factories gain market share at the expense of the Chinese. It predicts that some 30% of the country’s $5.0 billion in exports for this year will reach the United States compared to 28% of the $4.8 billion that came here in 2016, implying around a 12% increase in shipments to the U.S.
