House Introduces Legislation Tightening Background Checks
Five Democrats and five Republicans introduced a bill that will require background checks on almost every sale of a gun, including private sales in most instances, fulfilling a campaign pledge to make gun rights a central issue over the next two years even as the bill faces almost certain oblivion in the Senate and a Presidential veto.
