The long-rumored filing for bankruptcy protection by Gander, no doubt precipitated to some degree by the recent post-Election slowdown in firearms sales, was filed in Minneapolis bankruptcy court. Gander said in its filing that it was in discussions with a number of interested parties to sell the company as a going concern and expected to conduct an auction for its assets that would held in late Apr. with a final sale expected to be consummated by May 15.
