DTLR, Sneaker Villa Complete Merger
The combination, first reported here on Jul. 27, combines two dominant inner city chains that will have some 240 stores and $500 million in sales. The deal was put together by private equity firms Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co., which backed DTLR, and Goode Partners which backed Sneaker Villa. Both have a variety of investments in retailing and some sports-related companies. The merged chain will be under DTLR CEO Glenn Gaynor.
