The number of indoor climbing gyms in the U.S. has grown from 220 in 2014 to 660 now and is expected to continue growing at a 20% annual rate, CLAR told the Stifel investor conference, and it intends to ride that participation trend both with climbing equipment where it already has a strong position and into a lifestyle business built around apparel and footwear.
