Canada Goose Loss Expands Despite Surging Sales


Comprehensive net loss was C$19.0 million ($14.7 mm) against a loss of C$12.0 million in the high-end outerwear maker’s small fiscal first quarter ended Jun. 30, but revenues jumped 59% to C$44.7 million ($34.6 mm) from C$28.2 million. Direct-to-consumer sales almost tripled to C$23.2 million from C$8.3 million, driving gross margin to 64.0% from 46.8% last year.
